In the Tall Grass is a short story written by Stephen King and his son Joe Hill. The story begins with an inseparable pair of siblings, brother and sister, who pull off to the side of the road after hearing the desperate cry of a young boy coming from within the tall grass. The siblings decide to help and after entering into the grass things soon begin to go horribly wrong.

The short story was first published by Esquire Magazine in 2012 and is available for purchase from Amazon, Kindle, iBooks and more.

Vincenzo Natali wrote an adapted version of the screenplay, which was then picked up by Netflix. The Natali helmed-project, which went in front of the camera in the summer of '18, is set for release in 2019.
